If the interior of your boat is dark or small, install a few mirrors to reflect light into the cabin.

Mirrors have long been used by interior decorators to give the illusion of space in small areas. Just make sure that they are mounted securely and used only in areas where they are not likely to be broken if an object or person is tossed across the cabin.

Also, beware: looking at the outside world through a mirror is a sure way to get sea-sick.
