Nauticus Teaches About the Sea

NOAA isn't just weather. It also created Nauticus, the National Maritime Center, in downtown Norfolk, Va.

Nauticus is a science and technology center where you can explore the power of the sea. It is located at 1 Waterside Drive on the Norfolk waterfront.

Visitors can learn about NOAA and its resources through the exhibit called "95,000 Miles of Coastal Knowledge," as well as in its "Navigation Alley," which is all about the features of modern navigation.

Interactive touch screen computer displays and graphic exhibits are also presented to teach visitors more about NOAA's programs and services.
