Since our last update, I've been busy making smaller pieces of plexiglas out of larger sheets. I had never tried to cut that stuff before, but a metal cutting blade (fine teeth with little set) in a jigsaw does a great job. One note is that this stuff can really scratch pretty easily. Be careful of getting "sawdust" under the jigsaw skid plate.
I've gotten the 6 side windows cut, more painting and trimming on the frames done, and the "glass" mounted. Came out fairly well on most of them.
In the picture, they are not attached/hinged yet, but just sitting in place for appearances :-)
Port Windows
In my ongoing hate/hate relationship with windows, one of them doesn't fit. The aft window frame on the starboard side is "skewed" somehow. it won't got in the hole. I had been worried about another one that was trying to warp a little, but it flattened out fairly well and then this one is just plain wrong. All the pieces seem right, but it's "leaning" too far forward.
I guess I'll have to redo that one.
