Miami Beach is known for its Art-Deco architectural milieu but an Italian style invasion is in full flood at the Yacht and Brokerage Show. This morning's press event by the Ferretti Group was a typically classy affair by the worldly yacht-builder with new models in three different brands announced.
My fourth-estate colleagues and I sipped our espressos while we listened to Vincenzo Cannatelli, Ferretti Group CEO present the U.S. debut of the Riva 63' Vertigo and the CRN 43 meter Emerald Star (which was named the "Queen of the Show" by the Miami Boat Show organizing committee). Emerald Star is the largest yacht on display at the shows in Miami and Miami Beach this week.

Also announced was the new enclosed bridge version of the Bertram 700 flagship. This ultimate cruiser/battlewagon is now available in both an open-bridge version and a luxurious, weatherproof edition. The Ferretti Group display features some of the most gorgeous boats in the world, with examples from Pershing, Riva, Apreamare and Mochi Craft exuding nautical style. We'll get some photos of these new vessels up in little while, just to remind you to bring the big checkbook with you this weekend.
