We haven't had much photogenic boat work in the last week or two... sorry about that. I'll try to get more pictures up soon.
The recent activities involved the hatch for the forward deck access and lots of work on the rear deck.
It's amazing to me the details you can find or figure out from a set of boat plans when you get down to actually building that section. I've found that the aft deck is supposed to be angled to drain better. Makes total sense, but I had never noticed it before. Had to make a couple of trims to a frame to make a nice slope, and then fill in another spot where my frame wasn't quite in the right spot.
One piece of 3/4" plywood cut with all kind of odd notches and I have a rear deck. I haven't fastened it in place yet since I just know I will wind up needing access under it. The design has it sealed so that spills (water or fuel) won't get under the deck.
Lastly I got most of the front deck edges epoxy sealed to the hull sides and a nice little fillet at the seams. That will make the bow fairly waterproof for the majority of it.
