Best Booth: Sevenstar's Models

.: GLEN JUSTICEGLEN JUSTICE

We saw some pretty unusual stuff at the Lauderdale show, from a windlass as large as a double bed to an anchor as big as a man. But it was the little things that drew our Best Booth Award — little ships to be exact..: GLEN JUSTICEGLEN JUSTICE

Sevenstar Yacht Transport, which brokers massive ships to transport large recreational boats all over the planet, had a large, walk-in booth decorated with half a dozen models showing yachts in transport.

Perhaps its a guy thing, but they were completely captivating.

Not everyone needs yacht transportation services, of course, and this was a great way to draw people into the booth. If you do need such services, you're likely to remember these guys.

The staff was also very accommodating. They knew we were model geeks — definitely not buyers — and they indulged us anyway. You might think that everyone is courteous at a show like this, but such is not the case.

The competition's booth down the isle has a live band and served champagne from an open bar. They too had a model — one model.

Color us childlike, but we like the variety better. Maybe you will, too. Have a look...
