GLEN JUSTICE
For those who don't have a few thousand dollars to install underwater lighting, there's a growing range of products that offer temporary lighting. You simply plug them in (or charge them) and throw them over the side.
At last year's Lauderdale show, we wrote about the FishNLight. This year, we bring you the Luma LED Deep Drop Float Light by Taco Metals.
The Luma LED works on a charge and it can float or sink, depending on your needs. The light, which comes in colors (and with AC and DC adaptors for charging), is one component. The second is and a watertight tube, which holds the light when submerged.
Tie it off and toss it in, and the tube will float; Weigh it down and you can send it to the depths (it is rated to 100 feet).
We haven't tested it, but the Taco reps swear it attracts fish!
