The Anchor Reel by Sawgrass Distributors was designed to coil line for use in the aft cockpit, such as deploying a stern anchor on the beach, towing a tender or just about anything else.

It holds 150 feet of 3/8-inch line or 75 feet of 1/2-inch line, keeping messy coils out of your locker. It can be mounted in a rod holder and is made of plastic and aluminum, so it should not corrode.

We haven't tested it, but at $60 it is much cheaper than its stainless steel competitors and may be a solution for smaller boats that spend a lot of time near the sand.
