The U.S. Powerboat Show in Annapolis opened amid an all-day rain Thursday, which definitely cut down crowds. But the show did go on, with vendors sealing their booths, boatbuilders raising tents on the docks and just about everyone in foul weather gear.

We'll be bringing you live coverage from the show this weekend, writing about the boats and gear on hand.

Because, let's face it, the boats are just as pretty, wet or dry — and this way you get to see them with the canvas up!
