Tallon Marine Allows Flexible Mounting

.: GLEN JUSTICEGLEN JUSTICE

Sooner or later, we all want to mount something on deck: drink holders, rocket launchers, a BBQ, some SCUBA tanks or some item that makes the boat more comfortable or functional. But it's always tougher to do so than you might think.

Into that dilemma steps Tallon Marine, a company that has developed a system of strong and permanent mounts that are also flexible enough to support a number of uses. The system is based on receiver units that are mounted to the boat. These receivers, which can be stainless or black or white polycarbonate, can then hold various accessory mounts, everything from a fillet table to champane flute holders.

You do have to buy Tallon's accessories "” they are the ones that fit the receivers  "” but many are not expensive and they do carry a wide range. In fact, the company even carries powered receivers, which facilitate powered accessories, such as lamps or safety lights.

A pair of Tallon receivers in black or white costs $74.99 and stainless is $97.99. A pair of powered units are $96.99 for black or white and $119.99 for stainless. Prices for accessories vary. Take a look...
