Some parts of boatbuilding get downright repetitive. I skinned the bottom of this thing once. Now I have just about gotten it done again.

Just to the right of the ladder you can see where the second layer of the hull bottom currently ends. I've gotten most of the way forward. Now I'm into the nerve wracking part where you are trying to get it to bend to a compound curve. I thought it would be easier the second time, but now I'm not so sure. The first time, I screwed to the frame members, chine logs and inner keel. This time you have the entire first layer underneath. Sounds easier, right? Well, the flip side is that you have to get the two layers to "mate up" and assume the same curve. They need to make good contact and let the glue hold the large surface area.

Here's another shot from my favorite "bow on" angle. I just like looking at it. Some nice curves there, if I do say so myself.
