Well, not much to show, but after a quick family trip to Disney World, I'm into putting the second layer of the hull bottom on. This is one of those "I've already done this" jobs where you are just adding another layer to what is already there. Cut panels, trim edges, glue and screw in place, repeat. When things get up to the bow, it will get a bit more interesting with all the twist there... not entirely sure how that will fit together to make sure there aren't voids, but I imagine it will come together.
One item of note is that this layer goes on at 90 degrees to the first, so that the joints all cross each other at right angles. Provides more support and less places for "direct water intrusion" (leaks). There has been some discussion concerning what the next steps are and what remains on the hull, so I thought I would outline the basics:
1. Finish hull bottom second layer
2. Trim off hull panels at chine to exact fit
3. Round over chines with router
4. Flatten off centerline for mounting of keel
5. Build up and install keel
6. Install the outer stem (bow) and get it mounted
7. Laminate entire hull in cloth/epoxy
Then we'll be ready to roll the hull. Step-by-step... we'll get there, surely.
