As you can see, I have a bow closed up now!

I showed this picture to a very good friend of mine (hello, Shannon!) and the prompt response I got was "Your boards are cut crooked!" Now I certainly know what she meant, and it was all in good fun, but it got me thinking. For all the people that follow along on the web or other remote places and just see pictures and read descriptions, it's not like being there.

I had noticed that the boat and my woodwork often looks better in pictures than close up in real life. I have taken some solace in assuming that other people's work gets the same improvement in web pictures, so maybe my work isn't that much worse.

Another side is that the builder of one of these boats knows what it is supposed to look like. That can be a two-sided coin. I know what I wish I could make it look like, and I also know places that are problems that nobody else will ever see. Regardless of what you think, it's the cutest boat I know :-)
